SAT diagnostic guide
For an on-demand diagnostic, create an account or sign in. For a live test, reserve a published date and keep your ticket and private code. Registration closes 12 hours before the scheduled start.
Use a computer with a reliable internet connection, connect your charger, and find a quiet place to finish in one sitting. Check the planned session length when you reserve and allow longer if you select extra time. Review module times and scheduled breaks on the test’s opening screen before starting.
Work on your own, without looking up answers or asking someone to solve a question. Follow the test directions for permitted tools. Your results help identify what you already understand and what needs more practice.
Help your student check their account, ticket, device and start time beforehand. Keep the space quiet during the test and let your student answer independently. Tell us about access needs or testing accommodations before the session.
Module directions come first; the clock waits until you start the module. Each module is timed separately.
Enter your ticket code when the waiting room opens. The room shows the proctor link after admission. Join the proctor using that link and be ready at the scheduled start. The test button becomes available when the scheduled time arrives. Your ticket shows when the waiting room opens; this is separate from the registration deadline.
You can move between questions and change answers anytime before the module ends. You cannot go back once you finish a module.
Your report stays with your account. Arrange a complimentary results consultation to discuss strengths, areas for improvement, and a starting point for preparation. Tutoring and detailed instructional review are separate from this consultation.
